Are you tough enough to wear pink?

The Waikouaiti Rodeo celebrates 50 years in 2014 and is once again hosting the Tough Enough To Wear Pink NZ Breast Cancer Foundation Fundraiser.

On Saturday the 1st of February 2014 what better way to spend a summers day, than at the Southfuels Waikouaiti Rodeo. Situated right beside the hidden gem which is the Waikouaiti beach.

The event starts at 8am and promises a full day of family fun. The 2nd division kicks off at 11am, and then moves onto the Open at around 1pm. With over 300 competitors from Kaitia to Bluff as well as an international entrants including Jerard Hofstetter from Texas, meaning the day will no doubt showcase a strong level of skilled riding.

Other attractions include the kids country area, where the kids can have a day of free fun, while the adults enjoy a day of R&R with great food, plus a licensed bar to enjoy a cold one in the sun.

Like last year we will be running a paint the town pink competition in the Waikouaiti community. We would really appreciate your help by either coming along on the day or donating to the fund for the NZBCF.

The Waikouaiti Rodeo has in the last 4 years raised over $37,000 for the breast cancer foundation.

We look forward to seeing you there, where there will be prizes for those wearing pink and we’ll be dishing out fines for those who are not, so please dust off your best pink shirt to support this great cause.
