Schools seeing the benefits in & outside the classrooms

Balfour School - March 16 v1

In April 2014 our Fuel for Schools programme was reviewed and tweaked slightly, the new format now sees schools accruing funds to the value of $1000 and then selecting either sporting or technology packages to this value. The change has been well received by both schools and those participating in the programme, which is fantastic.   Over the last 6 with the programme we have given back over $500,000 to schools throughout New Zealand.

In the past 3 years over 120 schools throughout the country from as far north as Kaitaia to Invercargill in Southland have been eligible to select from our fabulous packages on offer.

With a sport or technology pack on offer, there is an almost even split in schools deciding which option to go for.  Within the two packages there is a wonderful selection on offer with such variety that there is something for everyone.  One school ordered an athletics crash pad which was delivered two weeks later, just in time for the school athletics day, and they were pretty happy about that.

Mayfield School - June 16Mayfield School, Blenheim Principal David Nott says “The school has so far received four iPad minis, eight Acer Chromebooks, 20 sets of headphones, and a 32″ television with Apple TV from the scheme, which involves local businesses signing up to donate half a cent per litre of fuel they use to a rewards scheme for their chosen school.  It’s an awesome programme, it’s made such a difference for us and helped us to put technology in front of the children.”
